Research Interests
Her main research interests concern:
· • Physico-chemical characterization of halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) bare and loaded with bioactive molecules, proteins and metal nanoparticles.
· • Microwave (MW) assisted synthesis and physico-chemical characterization of metal nanoparticles.
· • Microwave (MW) and ultrasound (US) assisted extractions of essential oils from plants, seeds, peels. Physico-chemical characterization of the extracts.
· • Biophysical chemistry, focusing on thermodynamics, calorimetry and kinetics of molecular interactions, folding, self-organizing and physical chemistry of self-assembly system.
· • Thermoanalytical methods for the study of the degradation and ageing processes of materials used in cultural heritage, focusing on paint binders (proteinaceous material, oils, resins), their interaction with pigments, and their degradation.
· • Cheminformatics. QSAR/QSPR method based on recursive neural networks to the prediction ofphysico-chemical properties and toxicity molecules and polymers
· • Thermodynamics of solvation and mixture processes of substances of environmental importance
