This seminar will explore the potential of Diels–Alder (DA) chemistry for the development of self-healing polymeric materials. Particular attention will be devoted to the reversible nature of DA bonds, which enables polymer networks to undergo damage repair and structural reorganization through thermally activated processes. The discussion will highlight recent advances in the design of dynamic covalent networks, focusing on the relationship between molecular architecture, mechanical performance and healing efficiency.
